Virtual Metropolitan Hospital
An interactive model of documentation and official decision workflows across a large metropolitan hospital. The model follows records as they are created, reviewed, amended, approved, transmitted, and relied upon across clinical and administrative centers.
Directional maps
Start with the hospital as a business and information system. The first three maps show money, executive information, and medical-record flow. The fourth shows 15 logical integration points feeding a reusable healthcare integration layer and one TraceStack system.
Working deployment model
One TraceStack system serves the hospital. The 15 points shown above are logical interfaces into existing hospital systems, not separate TraceStack installations. A healthcare integration layer connects those systems to TraceStack through reusable adapters. TraceStack can normally operate out of band, preserving the accountability record without interrupting the operational system. Selected interfaces may be placed inline where authorization is required before an action proceeds.
Working model: connector families are HL7, FHIR, X12, REST/API, SFTP/file, database/CDC, and events/messaging. Production server topology, vendor-specific connectors, high-availability configuration, throughput, PHI segregation, and other implementation details remain to be established against an actual hospital environment.
